Isle of Anglesey County Council

About sites and premises

As part of its economic development role, the County Council has been involved for many years in developing industrial estates and industrial units.

The Welsh Government and private developers also undertake this role. The County Council has a portfolio of nearly 100 business units with a very high occupancy rate and the supply of serviced plots available for development is now very limited.

The Council is therefore involved in planning, seeking funding for, and then delivering capital projects which help to address the need for additional business/industrial units and serviced plots on Anglesey. These projects are mainly funded through external grant funding allocated by the Welsh Government for this purpose which the Council has to apply for.

The business units built are then made available to rent, and the serviced plots are placed for sale. These are generally for B1 (clean business), B2 (industry), and B8 (warehousing) uses but other uses may be considered subject to planning and other statutory requirements.

Available units and plots are advertised on the Council website.
