Early Years Integration Transformation Programme

Taith i Saith logo

The Early Years Integration Transformation Project was established to coordinate, direct, and oversee the development of a more joined-up, responsive system that achieves consistent, needs led delivery for all children in Wales.

The six local authorities for North Wales are working together to share developments and learning about what is happening locally and what can be done regionally.

Our aim

  • To create an early years system to deliver services in a co-ordinated, integrated, and timely way.
  • To support local partners to re-configure early years services focusing on planning, commissioning, and identifying and addressing needs.
  • Through this process to identify barriers to integration and ways to remove, reduce or rationalise them.

From February 2022, a consultation process with local parents, children and workforce was undertaken to support building and promoting better services within the early years sector on Anglesey.

We wanted to also gain a better understanding of the current attitudes, experiences alongside any recommendations that participants may want to share.

The consultation process was primarily focused on the core stages of:

  • pre-birth
  • pregnancy
  • birth
  • post-birth (0 to 7 years)
