Notice of election: Election of a member of Parliament

For the Ynys Môn constituency
  1. An election is to be held for a member to serve in Parliament for the above constituency.
  2. Nomination papers may be obtained from the offices of the Acting Returning Officer, Isle of Anglesey County Council, County Council Offices, Llangefni, Ynys Môn, LL77 7TW between 10am and 4pm.
  3. Nomination papers must be delivered to the Acting Returning Officer at Isle of Anglesey County Council, County Council Offices, Llangefni, Ynys Môn, LL77 7TW on any weekdays from the day this notice is published, between 10am and 4pm (excluding bank holidays) but no later than 4pm on Friday, 7 June 2024.
  4. A deposit of £500 for each candidate must be paid, ideally by a direct bank transfer, or alternatively in cash, or a bankers draft (banks operating in the United Kingdom only).
  5. If the election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday, 4 July 2024.
  6. Applications to be added to the register of electors in order to vote at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer, Isle of Anglesey County Council, County Council Offices, Llangefni, Ynys Môn, LL77 7TW by Tuesday, 18 June 2024.  Applications can be made online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
  7. Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Isle of Anglesey County Council, County Council Offices, Llangefni, Ynys Môn, LL77 7TW by 5pm on Wednesday, 19 June 2024. www.gov.uk/apply-postal-vote
  8. Applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Isle of Anglesey County Council, County Council Offices, Llangefni, Ynys Môn, LL77 7TW by 5pm Wednesday, 26 June 2024. www.gov.uk/apply-proxy-vote
  9. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer (as shown below) by 5pm on Wednesday, 26 June 2024. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate can be made online www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate.
  10. Applications to vote by emergency proxy on the grounds of a medical condition, illness, disability or if their occupation, service or employment means they cannot go to a polling station after 5pm on Wednesday, 26 June 2024, must reach the Electoral Registration Officer, Isle of Anglesey County Council, County Council Offices, Llangefni, Ynys Môn, LL77 7TW by 5pm on Thursday, 4 July 2024.
