Council opens book of condolences for Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II

A book of condolences for Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II is available to the public at Oriel Môn, Llangefni.

Her Majesty, officially opened the museum and art gallery on 25 October 1991.

Residents can pay their respects and leave a personal message at the Oriel from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday or 10am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday.

Anglesey Chief Executive, Dylan J Williams, said, “Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II touched the hearts and lives of millions of people across the world, her lifetime commitment to public service over many decades is to be admired and respected. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with her children, the Royal Family and everyone affected by her loss.”

“Many Anglesey residents will remember notable visits of Her Majesty to officially open Ysgol Gyfun Llangefni and Oriel Môn and most recently when visiting the Island during the Golden Jubilee. We welcome members of the public to visit the Oriel where they will have the opportunity to pay their respects.”

An online book of condolence has also been opened on the Royal website.
