A public consultation on the Isle of Anglesey County Council’s proposals for 20mph exceptions begins today (Wednesday 10 May) and will run until Friday 2 June 2023.
As part of the Welsh Government’s plans announced on 12 July 2022 to lower the speed limit on restricted roads from 30mph to 20mph, local highway authorities have been authorised to make exceptions in certain locations providing they meet the criteria set by Transport for Wales.
The locations proposed by the county council can be found on our website here: https://www.anglesey.gov.wales/en/Residents/Parking-roads-and-travel/Legal-orders.aspx
Further information on the proposed locations can also be viewed on DataMapWales: https://datamap.gov.wales/maps/roads-affected-by-changes-to-the-speed-limit-on-re/?_ga=2.60974572.1947089742.1668075253-1305301628.1664542143
Should you wish to object, support or make comments in respect of these proposals, you can do so by writing to Robyn Jones, Legal Services Manager, County Offices, Llangefni, LL77 7TW or by email to highways@anglesey.gov.wales
Should you wish to object to a proposal then you must include your reasons for doing so.
