Under Section 9 of the Flood and Water Management Act 2010, Isle of Anglesey County Council as the Lead Local Flood Authority has a duty to develop, maintain, apply and monitor a strategy for local flood risk management. It also includes a requirement to consult the public and other relevant stakeholders in the process of developing this strategy.
The Local Flood Risk Management Strategy (LFRMS) and action plans outline Isle of Anglesey County Council’s proposals for managing local flood risk in Anglesey over the next 6 years. This survey wants your input on the content of the draft LFRMS and includes questions on Isle of Anglesey County Council's revised Draft Local Flood Risk Management Strategy and action plans, Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Environment Report and Habitats Regulations Assessment (HRA).
In Anglesey, our LFRMS has been prepared alongside our Flood Risk Strategic Plan. The strategic plan provides a condensed version of the strategy and explains what and why a flood risk management strategy is required.
The consultation period is will take place between 11 November 2024 and 20 December 2024.
